Beaches in Castiglione della Pescaia: a travel guide about the beaches in Castiglione della Pescaia, with photos, tips and map
Castiglione della Pescaia has a sandy beach with a shallow seabed. It is located just in front of the village and easily reachable on foot. Tourists can find both public and equipped beaches, in particular we recommend the area laying between the marina and Punta Ala. Actually, the marina is a canal and it does not contaminate the water clearness. Moving (also biking on bike lines) to Punta Ala, you can meet other very special little bays such as Spiaggia delle Rocchette. The best access to it is SS 322 state road ad once you have reached the crossroad of Le Rocchette, turn left). In this part of the coast, there are both sandy beaches and with rocky sea bottom good for snorkelling.
Another very nice beach in Castiglione is the one called "Marze", situated between Castiglione della Pescaia and marina di Grosseto. To reach it, drive along the SS322 state road to Marina, when you arrive at 28 Km, park your car and from here it is only a 500 metres walk. The final destination is a natural paradise, where a sandy beach is surrounded by rich greenery of Maremma countryside.
Finally we suggest a visit to Cala Violina, one of the most beautiful beaches in Maremma, but to reach it from Castiglione you need to take a mean of transport
